The Dragon Bursts Forth

On this energetically packed day, the world will be celebrating Lunar New Years & welcoming in the fresh & re-invigorating presence of the 🌿 (Green) Yang Wood Dragon 🌿. Every Lunar New Year coincides with the first new moon of Aquarius Season & honors one of twelve sacred animals of the Eastern Zodiac. Each animal is assigned a different element/style of energy (Yin or Yang) that defines the vibe we'll experience for the next 365 days. Each year is also given a Tai Sui God who doles out lessons, trials, & blessings to everyone throughout the year. Great lengths are gone to in Taoist practices to not offend this God. The possible offenses change depending on who the Tai Sui God is & what virtues they're sworn to uphold.

Messages from my dragon guides: 2024 will be a launchpad year where we will be determined to set a goal for ourselves & particularly successful at achieving it...as long as we dig our heels in & stay persistent. This year will reward good-faith efforts with extraordinary luck & also give people (who take the risk) a shot at a promotion or elevation in status. More wealth can be acquired by sharing what you gain with your friends & family. Don't be greedy! Any setbacks or challenges we encounter in 2024 will transmute us in powerful ways; becoming the basis upon which we excel in the future. Dragons only grow more wise through trials & tests of their willpower...(There lies the true mettle of a dragon). This year will give us many opportunities to take charge of our lives & pursue our purpose with confidence. We'll also be called to use our talents & skills for the greater good or develop new ones that can take us to new heights. 2024 is a year to really take control of your life & truly empower yourself through self-possessed action.

Yang Wood is the element of new growth. It stimulates our creativity & ability to rebirth anything that has gone stagnant or dormant in our lives. It also corresponds to the energy of financial abundance, physical vitality, & forward momentum. It encourages us to live our lives by putting in daily effort towards an aspiration & generates new opportunities to explore. Yang Wood is that small spark on a piece of kindling that ignites a mighty flame! That's because the foundational element of Yang Wood is actually fire. This vibrant energy loves innovation. Other chances will be provided to us to deepen the bonds of our (already established) relationships...as long as we stay honest & practice the art of diplomacy in whatever we say. Technology & sustainable farming will be a hot-button topic. A.I. advancements might see outstanding progress in leaps & bounds. Anyone who is confident enough to try something fresh & innovative will get rewarded!! The (Yang) Wood Dragon births charismatic, daring entrepreneurs & also gives importance to progressive leadership. Further rifts between those who want to bring politics into the future & those who want to cling to political traditions of the past will increase due to the pressure brought about by the Wood Dragon year. This will be especially true for the United States, who is still experiencing its Pluto Return & twisting in the death throes of its own rebirth process. Health will be another underlined topic for 2024. We're likely to see huge medical & dietary discoveries that revolutionize how doctors understand the physical body. We are even seeing new treatments & cures for old diseases being put through their first battery of trials before getting released to the public. A savvy investor might want to put their money down on that. 2024 is the year to stop yourself from putting off that exercise routine you've been thinking about. It's the year to explore new ways of eating, drinking, & make more informed choices about what we're putting into our bodies. Homeopathic remedies will gain more traction along with spiritual/physical practices like yoga, meditation, qigong, & reiki. Stuff that blends the metaphysical & the mundane together. If you've been sick for a while, this might just be the year you finally get a diagnosis, have your referral approved, or find a better doctor who is willing to listen to you. On the flip side, we could see a lot of fake, "lifestyle gurus" try to make a buck off those desperate for a quick fix to illnesses, viruses, or old age. Don't be fooled. Do your research before you buy in!

The element of Wood is associated with the color green or azure, technically making 2024 the Year of the Azure Dragon. Chinese mythology actually records an azure dragon god by the name of Qin (or Cang) Long. His rulership is over the season of spring, wind, the East direction, feelings of hope, & the vitality of life-force energy. His planet is Jupiter & his image has been found at the doorways of Taoist temples as a guard & protector. Qin Long has been called upon to ward off evil & infuse life-force back into any situation, place, or person who has gone fallow. He controls the rain & high winds. In Taoism, is one of the four legendary creatures that oversees the quadrants of the sky.

Messages from my dragon guides: 2024 will be a year that people are finally starting to face their demons by glowing up. People will be seeking a better way of life & new doors to better ways of living. We might experience some weird weather phenomenon, wild storms, & further proof of global warming as a fact and not just a theory. Since Qin Long is associated with the story of the Dragon Gate (a legend about a fish who swam up a waterfall & became a dragon but also is understood as someone who aced their civil service exam & became someone important) some people will be getting a big promotion or lucky break that could have them rising to sudden fame/fortune or notoriety.

The Tai Sui God (Grand Duke Jupiter) for 2024 is General Li Cheng. Who is generally known as a benevolent & upright being who was fair & just to the people he served when he was a government official living in China. He encouraged taxing according to people's means, ethical farming, & sought viciously to weed out characters in high-ranking roles who were using their power to oppress the poor. He lived during the Yuan Dynasty & is famous for once changing the Emperor's mind on a decision with his eloquence alone. Because of this, he moved up the ranks very quickly (refer to: Dragon Gate). Another take on Li Cheng is that while he was good at his job, he unfortunately annoyed the hell out of all the other officials in office because he did not care about pecking order or ceremony. He was known to laugh, be comical, & was a whimsical little dude. Li Cheng will be doling out justice from the South East corner in 2024. It is said that to honor the Tai Sui, you must always pay mind to this direction in your home and try not to disturb it much if you can.

Messages from my dragon guides: More public outcry about the misuse of government power & inflation. We are seeing a lot of protests ramping up in 2024 along with more exposing of those in office who are crooked or supporting laws & ideals that are crooked. People will stop being impressed by hierarchy as opposed to what a leader in power is doing for the people they serve. Wars will be won via mental & linguistic prowess with the internet or courtroom being the battleground. Maybe there will be a big court case happening in 2024? How food is being farmed will be very important for next year along with a resurgence in co-op startups & companies that focus around food for cheaper costs. A lot of people will be gravitating towards gardening at home or community gardens & planting their own herbs. Being real & honest with people (diplomatically) can be important in 2024 as opposed to sticking with the "I'm right, you're wrong" bad-faith discussions... Sometimes, saying "I refuse the question" is the best course of action. There might be a lot more internet niche stars that suddenly rise to infamy in 2024 who use their platform to start trends that catch on. Being a whimsical little shit out of spite for the state of things will be the basis upon which the infamy is given. Government scandals & war crimes will be exposed. On a personal level, we'll be less motivated to support & stay with any relationships that are abusive. Especially when those Libra & Aries eclipses hit us in the spring of 2024. Expect spring to be breakup season for many that we thought seemed to have a solid foundation. A clash of heads is more that what many will bargain for in these moments of the year. Your words should flow with more clarity than usual to keep a level head & a level battle ground.
